Building an educational space of the future is a complex and constantly transforming challenge. It is about creating comfortable, relaxing and inspiring learning environments where learners of all ages can prosper, develop and succeed.
At NG Bailey, we recognise the investment being made in educational buildings through programmes such as BSF and the National Academies Framework to create inspirational learning environments.
We understand how environmental factors such the blend of air quality, light, thermal comfort, acoustics and ICT can impact on educational performance. NG Bailey can bring educational buildings to life in a way that complements standards of teaching and learning to make education an enjoyable experience.
NG Bailey offers sustainable and innovative solutions, as we understand the true aspect of sustainable education to permit adaptable, flexible and pertinent spaces supporting changing teaching and learning methods. We use new technologies to reduce the carbon footprint and meet energy efficiency targets in line with Government legislation. In this way, we can provide longer-term benefits to improve efficiency and minimise operating costs.
This approach is delivered using a dedicated Education Team and a range technical and operational specialists with educational expertise throughout the business. We have extensive experience in the construction of schools and major projects within the Higher and Further Education sectors.
Education is at the heart of what we do. Each year we offer apprenticeships through a range of craft training programmes to school leavers in addition to managing a placement programme for students at university. We’ve also invested in a two year graduate programme for postgraduates. In addition to training new recruits we are committed to supporting the professional development of our employees offering a range of internal and externally accredited courses.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, NG Bailey is committed to a range of educational works with schools to benefit the local community. This involves our work with the Engineering Development Trust (EDT) and our development of a range of company delivered vocational courses designed to engage with learners in schools we work with. These activities are aimed to inspire and motivating young people to pursue careers in science, engineering and technology.
NG Bailey has contributed to the construction of many successful educational building projects, for more information view our case studies.
